Friesian/ Morgan Cross | 15.3hh

Stunning, Sweet, and a Pleasure to Ride!

Zeer is one of those horses that immediately catches your eye. This beautiful 4-year-old Friesian/Morgan cross mare is absolutely gorgeous, with her solid black coat, elegant build, and feminine appearance. She has such a pretty presence, and she's the kind of horse that makes you stop and look twice!

But what I appreciate most about Zeer is that she's more than just a pretty face. She has a wonderful mind and is surprisingly uncomplicated to ride for such a young horse.

One of Zeer's best qualities is her consistency. She's the same horse every day, and she comes out ready to work with a willing attitude. She's straightforward, sensible, and genuinely enjoyable to ride. Those are qualities I value tremendously, especially in a young horse we're developing for an amateur rider.

Zeer is still learning to find her balance and develop the strength she needs to carry herself correctly. Like many young Friesian crosses, she naturally wants to carry her neck a little higher, so we're focusing on teaching her to stretch forward and down, relax through her back, and develop a stronger, more balanced way of going.

It's been rewarding watching her begin to understand how to use her body. She's learning that she doesn't have to hold herself up with her neck and can instead find balance through her whole body. These are important building blocks for her future dressage training, and we're taking the time to develop them correctly.

What makes this process so enjoyable is Zeer's attitude. She's willing to learn, doesn't make things unnecessarily complicated, and gives you the opportunity to focus on her education rather than simply managing her behavior.

She's also been wonderful about the practical things we ask of our horses outside the dressage arena. Zeer has spent time on the trails, and we've even practiced opening and closing gates from the saddle. During one ride, an amateur rider had to lean quite far forward to reach a gate, and Zeer stood quietly and patiently while she figured it out. It's a small thing, but moments like that tell me a lot about a young horse's temperament.

On the ground, Zeer is a lovely horse to have around. Her beautiful appearance certainly gets attention, but her sensible personality is what makes her so appealing.

What excites me most about Zeer is her combination of beauty, willingness, and rideability. She's still a young horse with strength and balance to develop, but she already has the kind of straightforward attitude that makes the training process enjoyable.

I can see Zeer becoming a wonderful partner for an adult amateur who appreciates a beautiful horse but values a good mind just as much. She offers the opportunity to continue developing her dressage education while enjoying a horse who is already a pleasure to ride.

She's truly a beautiful girl, inside and out, and I'm excited to see how she continues to develop!
