Rip is a charming 4-year-old, 15.2hh gelding with a goofy personality, endless curiosity, and a genuinely willing nature. He is the kind of young horse who wants to understand the world around him—if something is new, his first instinct is usually to walk up and investigate it.

Under saddle, Rip combines that wonderful mind with naturally lovely movement. He has a floaty trot, an exceptionally smooth canter, and an impressive amount of natural balance for his age. Most importantly, he tries. Rip genuinely wants to understand what his rider is asking and approaches his education with a willing, thoughtful attitude.

Rip is still a young horse developing his strength and education, but he has already shown us many of the qualities we look for in a future sport horse.

His natural balance makes him easy and enjoyable to ride, and his comfortable gaits are something you appreciate the moment you sit on him. He has a light, floaty trot and a smooth canter that is particularly fun to ride.

Rip has also been ridden by different riders, including an adult amateur, and continues to show us that he can listen, adjust, and try to understand what each rider is asking of him.

We believe he has plenty of potential to continue developing as a dressage horse, while his temperament and versatility leave the door open for someone who wants to enjoy more than one discipline.

Rip is a good boy on the trails and has been given opportunities to experience life outside the arena as part of his education.

Because he is only four, there are still occasional moments when something unfamiliar can make him nervous. What we really appreciate about Rip is how he handles those moments.

One of his trail videos is a perfect example. A gate was opened while his rider was on his back, and the movement worried him. Rather than escalating, Rip listened to his rider, worked through his concern, and recovered beautifully.

We don't expect a four-year-old horse to have seen everything. We care much more about what a horse does when he encounters something he hasn't seen before, and Rip continues to show us that he can think, listen, and regain his confidence.

His natural curiosity helps tremendously. Given the opportunity to look at something new, Rip generally wants to investigate rather than avoid it.

Rip's goofy, curious personality makes him a lot of fun to have around.

He likes to know what's going on and is often interested in whatever the humans around him are doing. He's sweet, personable, and has the kind of personality that makes it very easy to become attached to him.

While his movement initially catches your attention, his personality may ultimately be the thing you like most about him.

Rip would be a wonderful match for someone who enjoys the process of developing a talented young horse and wants to build a partnership along the way.

He already offers natural balance, comfortable movement, trail experience, and a very willing mind. What he needs now is simply time, consistency, and continued education to develop into the horse he's capable of becoming.
