Join Our Team as a Head Trainer!
Legacy Sport Horses is a boutique sales barn specializing in connecting high-quality Friesian Sport Horses with their ideal adult amateur riders. Located in Michigan City, IN, we provide a fast-paced, professional environment where horses are polished, showcased, and presented at their best. Our mission is to bring together a variety of well-started horses, ensuring clients have a diverse selection of safe, reliable, and talented horses to choose from—all in one place.
At Legacy Sport Horses, we focus on efficiency and excellence. Horses come to us already possessing great qualities, and it’s our job to enhance and showcase those attributes. Training is part of our daily routine, but we are not a slow, progression-focused program for developing horses to upper levels. Instead, we polish horses to highlight their strengths, ensuring they are ready to meet the needs of our clients. This approach requires a unique type of trainer—someone who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment and is skilled at adapting to the needs of each individual horse.
Our culture is built on positivity, professionalism, and teamwork. We value trainers who can confidently and effectively bring out the best in any horse they ride. The ideal candidate is an excellent catch rider—someone with the versatility, tact, and feel to step into the saddle of any horse and showcase its potential. This is a role for a trainer who loves the art of presentation and understands the importance of marketing, both in person and through videos.
We believe in supporting our team with resources that allow them to focus on what they do best: showcasing and caring for our horses. Our trainers enjoy:
