Barn Manager – Legacy Sport Horses (Michigan City, IN)

Are you passionate about precision, excellence, and creating a peaceful, professional environment for horses and humans alike? Legacy Sport Horses is looking for a Barn Manager who takes pride in doing things right—every time.

We run on systems, lists, and high standards, and we’re looking for someone who thrives in that kind of environment. You’ll be responsible for overseeing daily barn operations, ensuring that every task—no matter how big or small—is completed with attention, consistency, and care.

What You’ll Do:

  • Follow established checklists and routines to the letter (they work when used!)
  • Keep the barn clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times
  • Maintain a high standard of horse care: stalls, feeding, turnout, grooming, etc.
  • Track maintenance and repair needs—stay ahead of the curve
  • Prepare the property for customer visits, showings, and clinics
  • Support a culture of excellence and attention to detail
  • Suggest thoughtful improvements to systems—once you know them well

What We’re Looking For:

  • Deep respect for routine and ability to follow systems without cutting corners
  • Naturally organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong communication skills and self-management
  • Commitment to doing things right because you care—not just to keep a job
  • A proactive mindset—you notice what needs to be done and you do it
  • Experience with sport horses or high-level care is a plus

The Right Fit:

This job isn’t for everyone—but it’s perfect for someone who finds satisfaction in a barn that runs like clockwork, horses that are deeply cared for, and spaces that stay pristine because someone cared enough to notice the details. That someone could be you.
